I’m on holiday!

I’m so happy to be in my garden. Roy and Sian have gone to Cornwall to see Uncle John so I’m home alone.

P1030540

Aunty Charlotte from next door (Moley’s mum) is looking after me. Mummy (Sian) made me promise to be a good cat while she was away.

P1030531

Last time Aunty Charlotte looked after me I wouldn’t come in at night and she had to come twice to get me safely indoors!  But I love being in my garden

P1030531

So I promised to be good this time.

P1030531

Well, a little bit good!

P1030532

I like to play in the garden. I can roll this way and then the other way

P1030532

I can leap into the air

P1030539

…and stand on my head…

P1030539

….. I try to catch flies….

P1030531

…and walk on tippee toes…..

P1030541

I can climb up a wall!

P1030542

…. and slide down a slope…

P1030540

…and best of all… curl up asleep…..

And no-one can see me…. except you!

A lovely letter from Cara and Anna

I was so excited – my very first letter ever – and it was from some of my favourite people – Cara and Anna who live in Cardiff with Jack the cat.

Cara’s name is in yellow and Anna’s in pink at the bottom of my letter

letter

In the envelope was also a beautiful drawing which shows us all, Cara, Anna, their Mummy and Daddy, Sian and Roy and biggest and the most important of all in the very middle – me!

Callie2

I am having a really long look at if from my favourite chair. My mummy is pointing out my very own portrait in the middle. Cara and Anna have coloured my beautiful fur colour perfectly. Don’t I look beautiful?

Callie1

Thank you for such a lovely letter and drawing.

Thank you – I love you!

Kiss, purr, kiss, purr to you both – can you see my pink tongue is making a kiss to you both?

Hide and Seek

I’m hiding. Can you see me? Bet you can’t. I’m completely hidden and nobody can see me, but I can see you! Not even if I stick my paw out a little way. See, I’ve completely disappeared behind this plant in the garden.

hiding1

I was having a little sleep behind this plant when Sian came calling me but I decided not to move – not even a whisker. Perhaps she’s calling me for some tea? Shall I move?

P1020406

I decided to come out of my comfy bed behind the plant. Now I think I’ll see if it’s tea time and then go back to my other comfy bed on my window sill.

grass1

And what do you know – there’s a plant here to!!!!!!! And I can hide behind this too. Can you see me? The clue is that my white paw is sticking out again but the rest of me is totally out of sight?

grass2

I’ll twist around a bit so my head is more hidden. Can you see me now? I think that white paw is still showing a bit?

grass4

Now there’s a gap between the leaves and you can see my face. I can see you – peekaboo!

grass5

So I think I’ll close my eyes and go to sleep again. I’m very cosy behind my leaves. Good night everyone, its time for forty winks again.

Just incase you are wondering what this bunch of leaves is doing in my bed - these seeds were planted from this packet of ‘Cat Grass’, so this is my own special grass. I don’t know what it is for but I do like hiding behind it.

Do I really have to sleep on this new blanket?

Do you have a favourite chair or blanket or cushion?

I do.

I love my red material on my window sill. It’s covered with my loose fur and feels as if its my very own blanket.

P1020555

A litle while ago, I noticed that my red blanket had disappeared and a new furry one appeared. I think I’m being ‘tidied up’!

I’ve been given a new ‘bed’ on my favourite window sill to replace my lovely red blanket – you can see this peeping out on the right of this picture below – nicely covered with my fur.

P1020612

I looked at it and wondered what it felt like to walk on. I was tempted to step on it to reach my bowl which had some of my favourite food in it. I must admit, it felt very nice – just like my own beautiful fur – well almost as nice!

P1020613

Then the bowl was moved further along to my window sill.

Well, you have to follow a bowl of food don’t you!

P1020614

Yes, you certainly do.

P1020615

You have to eat it all up! Delicious.

P1020616

You have to get right up on that window sill and make sure you eat all that food!

P1020618

Right to the very last mouthful!

P1020619

Oops! I’ve just realised --- I’m lying on the new blanket!

I’ve been had!

What is happening to my peaceful window sill world?

The bright lights in the garden keep me awake on my window sill.

And someone (probably Mummy) is making a dreadful mess on my table, full of bright red tangles to make another Christmas card I expect!!!!
How silly is this!

And another thing - this silly little man dressed in red keeps wobbling around near my comfy window sill.
I don’t like the look of you. Stupid pointy hat with a white bobble that wobbles as you walk! Where’s your tail?

My mummy says you are Father Christmas and you have brought me some presents.

Presents you say? You look a very small person to carry so many parcels. What presents have you brought?

Let me taste them to see if they are good  - they do look a bit like dreamies – which you know are my favourite luscious treats.
Yes, it's true – you’ve brought me my favourite treats Father Christmas. They are so, so, so …….delicious I’ve nearly eaten them all!

Move over please Father Christmas, so I can get to my last dreamie for my last taste of deliciousness.

Thank you very much Father Christmas. I would have starved over Christmas if it wasn’t for you.

Let me give you a big wet soggy kiss. I love you Father Christmas.

Will you come again next year please?

I certainly will my very fluffy, furry friend - but do stop dribbling.

"I’m wobbling off to wobble-land now until next Christmas" said Father Christmas. Cheerio!

‘Dreamies’ means deliciousness!

Yes, I’m so pleased that they’ve discovered ‘Dreamies’ in my house. A mysterious package came through the letter box.

P1020562

It was addressed to someone called Mrs S Pumfrey. I didn’t know this was my Mummy’s name - I thought she was called Sian!

Aren’t human names odd?

Anyway, Mrs Pumfrey (really Sian), opened the package…….

P1020563

I was so excited to see the word ‘Dreamies’ inside. Can you see the word? I know what this means……

P1020564

Mrs Pumfrey (or Sian, or Mummy!) opened the little orange package inside and I couldn’t wait…Lots of lovely ‘Dreamies’ for me to eat. I couldn’t wait…..

P1020565

Where did they all go? – only a few ‘Dreamies’ to eat – hardly more than a mouthful.

 P1020566

Well that was very disappointing! Perhaps Mrs Pumfrey will get more free ‘Dreamies’ through the letter box.

I’m going to sit there and wait and wait, and wait.

P1020493

Can you see me waiting near the front door?

It gets very tiring, waiting so long.

I thought I’d take a lie down in the sunshine to wait and wait and wait.

A limp, a poorly puss and a quick recovery

Do you ever feel a bit poorly?

I felt a bit poorly on Monday so I got myself comfy on Sian and Roy’s bed and tried to pretend to be asleep and to snore a bit.

Can you hear me?

P1020522

When I got up for lunch, I limped slowly across the kitchen floor to my bowls.

My mummy looked very worried and made up a soft new bed for me near a lovely warm radiator.

My new bed is made from a bright red wool with a pretty pattern and it’s very cosy to snuggle into.

It is on the window sill so I can keep an eye on my garden and also see my bowls – all at the same time. Perfect.

P1020555

I decided to dangle my poorly leg over the radiator to remind everyone that I had a limp. Poor leg. Do you think I look cosy?

What more could a cat ask for?

Well there is one thing that a poorly cat could ask for – and that is -  my favourite treat called ‘Dreamies’. I expect you like those too Jack?

P1020556

Because I was poorly, mummy gave me some Dreamies on my window sill instead of in my bowls. Here I am tucking into them. Delicious!

I used my paw to reach for more Dreamies and I blame the slippery window sill!

It is a naughty window sill and it wasn’t my fault honestly, but I got the blame for dropping Dreamies down inside the radiator. Oh dear.

I think my limp is better now as I don’t think my mummy is very pleased with me. No more Dreamies on my window sill.

I hope I can still keep my window sill bed even though I’m not poorly any more.
