What is happening to my peaceful window sill world?

The bright lights in the garden keep me awake on my window sill.

And someone (probably Mummy) is making a dreadful mess on my table, full of bright red tangles to make another Christmas card I expect!!!!
How silly is this!

And another thing - this silly little man dressed in red keeps wobbling around near my comfy window sill.
I don’t like the look of you. Stupid pointy hat with a white bobble that wobbles as you walk! Where’s your tail?

My mummy says you are Father Christmas and you have brought me some presents.

Presents you say? You look a very small person to carry so many parcels. What presents have you brought?

Let me taste them to see if they are good  - they do look a bit like dreamies – which you know are my favourite luscious treats.
Yes, it's true – you’ve brought me my favourite treats Father Christmas. They are so, so, so …….delicious I’ve nearly eaten them all!

Move over please Father Christmas, so I can get to my last dreamie for my last taste of deliciousness.

Thank you very much Father Christmas. I would have starved over Christmas if it wasn’t for you.

Let me give you a big wet soggy kiss. I love you Father Christmas.

Will you come again next year please?

I certainly will my very fluffy, furry friend - but do stop dribbling.

"I’m wobbling off to wobble-land now until next Christmas" said Father Christmas. Cheerio!

‘Dreamies’ means deliciousness!

Yes, I’m so pleased that they’ve discovered ‘Dreamies’ in my house. A mysterious package came through the letter box.

P1020562

It was addressed to someone called Mrs S Pumfrey. I didn’t know this was my Mummy’s name - I thought she was called Sian!

Aren’t human names odd?

Anyway, Mrs Pumfrey (really Sian), opened the package…….

P1020563

I was so excited to see the word ‘Dreamies’ inside. Can you see the word? I know what this means……

P1020564

Mrs Pumfrey (or Sian, or Mummy!) opened the little orange package inside and I couldn’t wait…Lots of lovely ‘Dreamies’ for me to eat. I couldn’t wait…..

P1020565

Where did they all go? – only a few ‘Dreamies’ to eat – hardly more than a mouthful.

 P1020566

Well that was very disappointing! Perhaps Mrs Pumfrey will get more free ‘Dreamies’ through the letter box.

I’m going to sit there and wait and wait, and wait.

P1020493

Can you see me waiting near the front door?

It gets very tiring, waiting so long.

I thought I’d take a lie down in the sunshine to wait and wait and wait.

A limp, a poorly puss and a quick recovery

Do you ever feel a bit poorly?

I felt a bit poorly on Monday so I got myself comfy on Sian and Roy’s bed and tried to pretend to be asleep and to snore a bit.

Can you hear me?

P1020522

When I got up for lunch, I limped slowly across the kitchen floor to my bowls.

My mummy looked very worried and made up a soft new bed for me near a lovely warm radiator.

My new bed is made from a bright red wool with a pretty pattern and it’s very cosy to snuggle into.

It is on the window sill so I can keep an eye on my garden and also see my bowls – all at the same time. Perfect.

P1020555

I decided to dangle my poorly leg over the radiator to remind everyone that I had a limp. Poor leg. Do you think I look cosy?

What more could a cat ask for?

Well there is one thing that a poorly cat could ask for – and that is -  my favourite treat called ‘Dreamies’. I expect you like those too Jack?

P1020556

Because I was poorly, mummy gave me some Dreamies on my window sill instead of in my bowls. Here I am tucking into them. Delicious!

I used my paw to reach for more Dreamies and I blame the slippery window sill!

It is a naughty window sill and it wasn’t my fault honestly, but I got the blame for dropping Dreamies down inside the radiator. Oh dear.

I think my limp is better now as I don’t think my mummy is very pleased with me. No more Dreamies on my window sill.

I hope I can still keep my window sill bed even though I’m not poorly any more.

Trying it on

I’m trying out my new Halloween costume ready for Saturday night!

Don’t be frightened everyone – it’s really me!

halloween1

I’m glad I took that mask off my face – it made my whiskers itch!

But I do rather like my new nails – what do you think?

My mummy says my hat is a bit wonky, but I think it makes me look even more scary.

What are you going to do on Saturday night?

Have a scary Halloween!

Message to cousin Jack in Cardiff

Hello cousin Jack. Cara and Anna have told me that you’ve been a naughty cat. Oh dear me!

I’m never naughty as I always use my litter tray in the kitchen at night time or in the utility room if the kitchen door is open in the day time. My litter tray is pink.

Here I am showing you how I sit on my litter tray in the kitchen. This is how you should do it too.

I expect your mummy had to use newspaper to clean the floor – after you had been naughty. We never have to waste newspaper here at Wind Whistle Cottage.

I enjoy looking at our newspapers if Roy will let me take a peep. Here I am looking at the Racing Post .

Today I saw your name on the front page. Is this what you look like?

After looking at your picture in the newspaper, I went outside to do a bit of sunbathing on my favourite warm spot in the garden.

So you must be a good cat from now on Jack.  I expect you love living with Cara and Anna and you don’t want to be deported to England do you?

Who stole my food?

I’m hungry! Someone keeps stealing my food. Look, you can see three empty bowls. Even the soppy kittens on the tray are looking puzzled. Where has it gone? Have you eaten my tea?
P1020483

One minute, the food is there – delicious pouchie food in one, crunchy biscuits in another and boring water in the middle one.
P1020435
And the next minute, it’s gone! Just like that! See what I mean?
P1020482

I’m getting so thin and weak!
P1020417

I’m fading away to nothing!
callie computer2a

I tried complaining to my daddy but he was too busy.
P1020429
I checked in the cupboard and there’s plenty of interesting packets with cat pictures on them in there. I think they are mine.
P1020436
So I asked my mummy – again and again for more food. She said I had eaten too much already!
P1020457

Sian then had a good idea to see if we could find out who was stealing my food.
She said she would make a video to see who the thief was.
I said that was a good idea. So we switched the camera on and waited!

And waited!

And what do you think we saw when we played it back?

Click on the arrow in the middle and see who was stealing all my food!

Who do you think it was? I can't believe it!

Shall I go to school today?

I wish I could go to school or pre-school like you do!  It must be such good fun.

I asked Sian and Roy if I could go to school and they said – that cats don’t go to school.

Maybe that is because cats are very clever without going to school?

What can I do that is clever?

I’m very good at balancing things on my head – as you can see……and it makes me stick my tongue out. Do you do that when your thinking hard?

What sort of things can I balance on my head….?

P1020366

A vase of flowers. I think this makes me look like a princess. What do you think?

A green plant, which makes me look stupid.

A very big clock – and a plate – all at the same time! Quite tricky this was.

Then another of those horrible plants – this one tickles.

Can you do any of these clever things?

Perhaps you will learn to do these things at school so you can be as clever as me!

Sunday in my garden at Wind Whistle Cottage

I love going into my garden to take a little walk when the sun is shining.

garden4

I check everything in the garden is in the right place by sniffing it …..

garden3

… and rubbing it …..

garden2

…and swishing my tail against it.

Then I do some rolling on the warm bricks – first forwards -

garden6

… then backwards….

garden1

… then a long stretch ….

garden5

… and then I think …what shall I do next   …..?

In case you don’t recognise me in this photograph, I am showing you a different side of me.

This is my fluffy bum which I also think is very beautiful! What do you think?

This is why my mummy (Sian) sometimes calls me ‘fluffy bum’ instead of Callie.

Wednesday 2 September 2015

It’s happy birthday time to Cara!

I’m sending this to you especially, Cara, to wish you a very happy birthday for 3rd September. I expect you will have some lovely presents from  Mummy and Daddy and also from Anna.

You will soon be as old as me! I’m eight but as you can see I look much younger – almost like a kitten! I don’t suppose you want to look like a kitten, do you Cara?

Here is a picture of me writing my blog to you as the birthday girl and also to Anna, Amelie, Bea and Freya.

P1020385

When you’re as old as eight, you get very tired when you’ve worked so hard at writing on the computer. Poor me. I think I’ll take a nap.

A bit about myself

20150731_100831

I think you’ll agree that there aren’t many cats as beautiful as me – at least there aren’t any in our garden! I make sure that next door’s cat, Moley, a long fluffy black and white job, keeps well out of my garden!

My fur is very long and feels very silky when I lick myself clean. I sometimes come in from the garden covered with bits of grass and my pure white legs covered in mud, but you can see that my lovely big paws look perfect now, especially the long furry bits between my toes which I am very proud of.

I am reclining on a folded lemon colour wool blanket which feels very cosy and comfortable. It is on a table next to a window so I can keep an eye on things in the back garden (watch out Moley and any rabbits!)

I have to put up with other boring objects on the table such as plants and art work which are annoying sometimes so I move upstairs to the spare bed – another soft place to relax on!
